Understanding Blood Pressure Readings
23 June 20262 min read

A blood pressure reading has two numbers: systolic (the top, when the heart beats) and diastolic (the bottom, when it rests). A reading around 120/80 mmHg is considered healthy for most adults; consistently above 140/90 mmHg may indicate hypertension. Measure at the same time each day, sit and rest for five minutes first, and keep a record to share with your clinician. A MOTRIZ pharmacist can show you how to monitor at home.
